Dance/disco vocalist Carol Lynn Townes had a pair of mild hits in the mid-'80s that were featured in soundtracks. Both "99 1/2" and "Believe in the Beat" were part of the music for Breakin' and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, respectively.
