Youth

Youth

After rolling his flow over steely grime and hip-hop on his 2015 mixtape Junk Food, Patrick Okogwu returns to brighter, poppier climes on his third album as Tinie Tempah. “Something Special” and “Holy Moly” retain Junk Food’s strident beats and belligerent self-belief, but Youth is dizzyingly panoramic and infectious, stretching from Jake Bugg-assisted folk-hop (“Find Me”) to house-pop dressed with a seductive Zara Larsson hook (“Girls Like”). As ever, Okogwu’s swagger is balanced by the self-awareness and humor that make him one of Britain’s most engaging MCs.
