Blonde Acid Cult

About Blonde Acid Cult

Blonde Acid Cult are an indie rock band from New York with a streetwise style informed by the in-your-face rawness of the Stooges as well as the nonstop party vibes of Madchester. Comprised of Michael Kilfoyle (vocals; from Boston, MA), Sonny Kilfoyle (guitar; from Boston, MA), Damian Genuardi (bass; from Philadelphia, PA), and Phil Meynell (drums; from London, England), the band initially made a name for itself with intense live performances on the New York indie rock scene. While MP3s of the band's early recordings circulated freely in the music blogopshere, Blonde Acid Cult made their official recording debut in 2008 with the 12" single Kick the Funk/Shake It Loose on the Brooklyn-based independent label Ripe. ~ Jason Birchmeier
