About Mickaël Miro

A modern-day purveyor of the traditional French chanson, Mickaël Miro's simple acoustic tales of love and warm gentle vocals neatly filled the void left by fellow chanteur Jean-Jacques Goldman's ten-year absence. Born in Lyon in 1979, Miro graduated from his hometown university and then moved to Paris where he began to play in the city's jazz bars. Inspired by the likes of Francis Cabrel and Michel Berger, he started writing his own songs, and in 2007 provided vocals for Les Marguerites Contre Alzheimer's "J'y Etais Pas." After signing a deal with Mercury Records, he released his debut album, Juste Comme Ça, in 2011.
