There are a large number of applications that prevent your Mac from going to sleep. This one has some unique features, worth looking at, but… the main feature, preventing your Mac from going to sleep does not work very well.

I mostly ignore most of the applications features, except the tool bar icon color changes when an application preventing sleep is running, that is a warning for me when I click Shutdown,and start heading for the door. When it is a bold red color, (a clolor I selected), I know some application like Safari will inhibit shutdown against my wishes, a very nice faature on a Mac, since a browser like Safari can tell your Mac to ignore your shutdown request, against all logic.

But, far too frequently, I walk away from my Mac, to eat, for example, and when I know i have the application set to prevent sleep, I return to a login window. Worst of all, at the login window, my Mac overheats constantly, which strikes me as a bad design flaw on such a well made machine..

Yes, this can do what the Caffeine and Amphetamine utilities do, but it has some additional functionality that is really useful. Wimoweh lists the processes that block your Mac from going to sleep, AND you can select processes or web services that SHOULD block it from going to sleep. Very nice.
You can change the icon colors by clicking on the “gears” icon and then selecting the color.

"Thanks" to the devolper for maintining support for this app. Does exactly what it's supposed to and does it well. Especially helpful for those times when you need the computer to stay awake when a particular app is running.
