About Francis Blanche

Francis Blanche was a French actor who was also active as a dramatist and singer. He made his film debut in 1942 in Frédérica, and though he was only sporadically active in the French cinema during the 1940s, he was highly active in the 1950s and remained so until his death in 1974. He collaborated with humorist Pierre Dac on the radio dramas Signé Furax, Malheur aux Barbus!, Signé Furax: Le Boudin Sacré, Signé Furax: La Lumière Qui Éteint!, Signé Furax: Le Gruyère Qui Tue!, and Le Fils de Furax. In subsequent decades, these radio dramas would be re-aired and compiled for release on CD. ~ Jason Birchmeier
