About Pastora Soler

Latin pop singer Pastora Soler (born Pilar Sánchez) made her live debut at the age of five, attending music classes three years later. After meeting producer Luis Sanz, the young artist had the opportunity to get a record deal with a major label. Her first album, Nuestras Coplas, issued in 1994, was a compilation of songs based on the Spanish folk style known as copla. Soler turned to pop music after issuing 1996's El Mundo Que Soñé and 1999's Fuente de Luna, which mixed flamenco, rumba, and rock. Corazón Congelado followed in 2001. ~ Drago Bonacich
