About Danko Jones

Founded in Toronto in 1996, Canadian hard rock trio Danko Jones has a blues-based hard rock style à la Thin Lizzy and AC/DC. Featuring band namesake Danko Jones on vocals and guitar, the band is particularly popular in Western Europe. Marking the beginning of Danko Jones' European connection, the compilation I'm Alive and on Fire was released by the Swedish label Bad Taste Records, which continued to issue subsequent albums including full-length debut Born a Lion (2002), We Sweat Blood (2003), Sleep Is the Enemy (2006), and Never Too Loud (2008), the band's most commercially successful album to date. Fifth full-length Below the Belt arrived in 2010, followed by Rock and Roll Is Black and Blue in 2012. The Garth Richardson-produced A Rock Supreme appeared in 2019, followed by 2021's Power Trio. Following a spot of international touring, Danko Jones returned to the studio. Electric Sounds appeared in September 2023.
