Trying to use encryption in this app has one major annoying problem: You CANNOT copy or paste into the password field.

So if you have generated a long password of random characters, you must manually type it into the field (and hope it is correct). Or, if you decide to randomly type into the password field, you cannot copy that password out and paste it elsewhere (you will need to retype it outside the program)…

This makes using the encryption feature prohibitvely difficult for anything except short easy to remember (and easy to crack) passwords...

I used the application for mainly compressing files (pictures) to send over and it worked great in that aspect. Beyond that however the app extends to do so much more. I enjoy the great drag/drop UI that allows for simple decompressing & compressing of folders. Additionally the preferences for a good amount of zip type is appreciated.

The options available for encrypting/splitting also is a great plus as some of my work is security sensitive and it's nice to have the encrypt feature built in. Overall the UI of the app is dead simple which convinced me into buying it. I personally had no issues compressing works great, decompressing as well. The additional features like App - DMG is also a nice addition if ever needed and I can easily see it being helpful to other users.

Definitley worth the purchase when it comes down to it simple, clean, and effective. Great for specific uses and or just basic users who need a great compression/decompression tool. Props to the developer I enjoyed the app and so far have had no issues.

If you need a simple way to compress or decompress files, this is your place to stop. No need for complicated interfaces when you have Smart Zipper available to you. The design is very clean and clear, making everything easy to understand. This is quick, painless and you can even pre-set to which location you want your newly zipped files saved. Encrypt with a password and your files are save from curious eyes. Make sure you message only makes it into the hands of the person who needs it. Don’t forget to check out “Preferences” if you need to tweak something to your liking. If you work with any files that are compatible, this is a “can’t-miss” app for your collection.
