Working well so far - good value for the money

I bought this app because I had hard copies of documents from the mid-1980s that I needed to digitize into an editable format. There are a lot of options available but this one was very reasonably priced compared to others ($30-$50 more) and I don’t need images or anything else, just text. I purchased and uploaded 2 PDFs of approximately 30 pages each. It converted each one in about 3 minutes which is very reasonable. The accuracy looks good so far. Occasional formatting issues but I have that with any PDF to Word converter that I have used online so not a big issue for me. I was very impressed that the documents have footers right at the bottom of the page and it put them into the footers on the Word file it generated. So for $20 which is cheaper than if you buy it from their website, it seems to do the trick pretty well.

Get a little more than what you pay for

Overall, I was very pleased with this app - the formatting looks fairly good, and the text was well preserved. My original document was in three different languages, and there was no problem with the conversion of the different texts. However, some of the formatting was botched during the conversion. Overall, this free app did a nice job.

Limited Formatting

This application is reasonable in that the OCR does seem to pick up all the words, (great job there RayShare!) but formatting is too far off for me. It doesn’t matter if you’re scanning a bitmap PDF or a pdf that already has tables and text in a selectable format. If you have a table with borders in your pdf, your tables aren’t going to come out in your docx about 60% of the time. Instead, you’ll see placed text.

If you have no tables I am sure this product is great. For me though with all the tables I have to go through, I wish they had a trial version first. I need all my tables in the docx file and I wasted 20 bucks testing to see if this product would do that for me.
