Description
Tilt your iPhone to land your shuttle safely on a platform on the moon.
Control your shuttle using the accelerometer. Tilt your iPhone up and down to control thrust and speed. Tilt your phone left and right to control angle and position. You have to slowly land your shuttle upright on the platform. If you run out of fuel, gravity will not be your friend. Tap the screen to start a new game.
This game is nearly impossible to win. It took me about 25 tries before I landed successfully, and I think I just got lucky. If your life is filled with too much success and pleasure, try this game.
This application was provided as sample code for iPhone developers. Somebody far more talented than me made this application and I take absolutely no credit for it. I just think it's cool enough that it should be distributed for free.
The code license states that developers may "modify and redistribute the Apple Software, with or without modifications, in source and/or binary forms". I'm distributing it unmodified for the world to enjoy.
Sometimes the accelerometer stops working and you can't control the shuttle. Just quit and relaunch the app.

This game is ok. But I do suggest making the markers bigger so we can see it while concentrating on the position/angle of the ship. Also, we should have a feature where we can compare our scores with other people online. Heck make a two player game where they can play against each other to who gets the highest score in three rounds or 5. Also, please include a menu and in that menu a tutorial or some kind of instructions coz some of us don't like to read the info on the apps page. We just download the app, look at the game and play it. The means of how to play the game is ussually in the main game menu.

Made me yearn for the old days
I first played apache lander the helicopter version of this game. It was very hard, high gravity and vertical tilting didn't always work. This game is so much better, has lower gravity and is easier to control. Lunar lander was one of my favorite games in the early days of computers. Also has indicators at top of screen that let you know what might be wrong with your landing/crash.
My suggestions for future versions:
Multiple levels, differing gravity levels with fuel to match. Levels in landscape mode with scrolling background and multiple landing sites. I'm just remembering what the old games had in them. I remember landing inside of a cave, so you had to maintain your altitude while you were moving horizontally. The only bad thing was poor graphics. Alot of the old games had great play value but poor graphics.
Pretty fun.
I don't see what all the racket is about. After a few tries this game becomes really fun as you start to get used to the motions. There is nothing uncomfortable about, really. The only things that are stopping me from giving this a 5 star rating are 1) Make the Highscores accessible without having to beat one game, 2) Make the title shorter (instead of like Crash Landing which shows up as "Crash...ding"...maybe name it Crash, or Lander...something that'll just fit on one line). Again, these are minimal complaints but please fix them.
