Why “GREEN”? Because the wellbeing of the planet and its inhabitants is one of the core principles of our philosophy, embracing a Industry 5.0 oriented viewpoint.Technology, machines, human skills are the three pillars of the new industrial revolution, where the first two are the key factor underlying harmony and quality of life for the latter. Why “-VOLUTION”? Combined to “green”, it can be read as GREEN REVOLUTION or GREEN EVOLUTION, the wide-scale change which begins with small steps, allowing the dominant worldview to evolve. Everybody loves change but few are willing to take some steps to actually change. Practicing mindfulness and respect for the environment and the people around us, we can make small revolutions. Then, building on them, we’ll give our positive contribution to life on Earth, bringing forth the green consciousness evolution. Sticking to this principle, the protagonists of the podcasts presented here offer their everyday stories, big and small, about the efforts they made both as individuals and as companies, explaining how we can contribute to improve our future as citizens of the Earth.

A bright future starts with a single panel

In a recent news article we anticipated something about the Tech 4 Gambia project, which has been carried out between mid January and mid March 2024, with the aim of installimg a solar panel park in Tanji, Gambia  (Africa). This episode of Greenvolution focuses on the story of  Thijmen Smulders and Mark Roelen. who joined  Go For Africa - an organisation funded by multiple ROC/MBO schools in The Netherlands -  during their internships and shared their knowledge and expertise to use the local resources in a more sustainable way.

    Storytelling for a better future

    Storytelling for a better future

Welcome to another episode of Greenvolution, the Shinchoku podcast by Arianna Pernigoni. So far we have talked about various aspects of sustainability: how to travel respecting the environment more, how to produce more sustainable fashion, the problem of recycling in metal industries and the importance of reducing waste of primary rescources such as water. This time, thanks to my guest, the music songwriter Aaron English, we explore the world of social equality and better education. About ten years ago, he founded the International Youth Project, a charity aiming at ensuring children of Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya with the musical equipment and education to become musicians, producers, songwriters. In short, to provide them with a brighter future. This is surely a wonderful story to tell, and that’s what Aaron English did in this interview.

    Regenerate life starting from agriculture

    Regenerate life starting from agriculture

Developing robotics technology to improve agricolture may sound like a paradox, for it shakes the very foundations of one of the  oldest and most traditional industrial sector. However, thanks to our current guest at Greenvolution, we’ve found out it is possible to unite technology and deeply-grounded, on-the-fields (literally) expertise to realize what Pixelfarming calls “regenerative agricolture”. Its aim is simple and challenging at the same time: by using mathematics to increase food production and stop using chemical pesticides, Pixelfarming wants to grow food with nature instead of against nature.
So, by combining mathemathical calculations and computer based technologies, the Pixelfarming crew can predict the most optimal conditions for crops and aim for the best harvest. Their story starts in 2017 as a small scale solution to improve, through extensive studies, the life cycle of plants. Over the years they have implemented their newly built machine, Robot one, in order to grow crops without using artificial chemicals.
You can find them on https://pixelfarmingrobotics.com/ or at https://www.linkedin.com/company/pixelfarmingrobotics/ In this episode of Greenvolution we had the pleasure to talk to Cindy Van Dommelen, the brand manager for Pixelfarming.

    Heavy Metal is the solution

    Heavy Metal is the solution

Almost every family in the world is sitting on a little pile of gold. But also of copper, silver, palladium, etc. If you wonder how that is possible, have a look at the broken electrical appliances you have at home. But this treasure is alas one not to keep, as it is dangerous for our planet as much as plastic. My guest on this episode of Greenvolution, Rudof von Stokar, CEO of Reco e-waste, gives some crucial insights about the importance of urban mining, the consequences of not disposing of metals and electrical waste in the appropriate way, and explains that the chemical-free and lossless process in his manufacturing company is a real circular way of thinking and operating.
