This homesick New Yorker loves this show
Makes me even homesicker!!!
Reminds me of why I love this wacky city!
I love listening to all of the interesting characters that make up this city and their stories from various periods of time in NYC history. As someone who has been here for nearly 20 years, I still struggle with the challenges (insane rents, the heart ache of trying to compete to buy an apartment, the challenges of dealing with a city where accessibility (for people with physical limitations)is ROUGH, the dirtiness, the taxes etc etc etc) that this city presents. That said, hearing from the diverse sets of humans in New York (clearly one of the best things about this city, are the people), reminds you of why this truly is the greatest city in the world. If you love living in NYC, are considering a move here or need a reminder of why we are all so lucky, “They Had Fun” will make you laugh and reflect upon what makes our community so unique and special. Rachel does a great job of putting her guests at ease, so they can open up about the debauchery and beauty of this wonderful, wild place, and her recommendations are the gold standard. Well worth a subscribe!
Nostalgia like whoa!
So many incredible NYC stories that make me nostalgic for living in the greatest city in the world! Whether you live in one of the 5 boroughs, used to live there, want to live there or are fascinated by the city from afar, this is a great peek into what it’s like to have fun in the city!
