Rep. Bill Falkner
In this episode we are glad to welcome Missouri State Representative Bill Falkner. Representative Falkner represents part of Buchanan County, elected to his first two-year term in November 2018 and re-elected in 2020 and 2022. Prior to serving in state government, he served as the mayor of St. Joseph for 8 years and also on the MML Board of Directors. At the Capitol he also serves as the Chair o f the House Local Government Committee.
Representative Falkner has been a champion for local government, advocating for Missouri cities to be able to make local choices that best serve their citizens.

Missouri's Safety Circuit Rider Program
Lauren Gehner, P.E., is the Safety Circuit Rider for Missouri where she assists local agencies through education and training in roadway safety. She started in this position at the beginning of 2023 after spending more than 13 years working in city and county government.
Created to primarily serve smaller municipalities without their own transportation safety staff, the Missouri Safety Circuit Rider program offers multiple services like providing guidance for funding applications, identifying local safety concerns and suggesting appropriate data-driven counter measures, and providing training in all things safety-related.
