This week we are joined by Prof. Dr. Philipp Rauschnabel.  "I am Philipp Rauschnabel and have been a Professor of Digital Marketing and Media Innovation at UniBw Munich since 2018. Before that, I was at the University of Michigan Dearborn (USA) and at the Uni Bamberg, among others. My research revolves around Augmented Reality (AR) and related concepts (MR, XR, VR etc.). According to a recent ranking by Microsoft Academics, I am one of the top 5 AR researchers worldwide based on citations in the last five years. I am (co-)author of more than 20 scientific publications that provide conceptual or empirical insights into the impact of AR on customers and future management practices - and thus on society at large."

Sergey defined Schlumberger’s product strategy for AR/VR apps. 

Launched several XR products. 

Managed execution across multiple SWE sites, stakeholder/customer/cross-function communication, and updates to C-level management.  

• Led product development, UX workshops, and broad exploration of AR/VR use-cases, resulting in 75+ prototypes, 5 patents, and 8 launched products.

 • Developed and launched “FracTetris”, an industrial product for outdoors layout planning using AR, VR, and drone tech. It has been used on more than 300 jobs in the first two years reducing the non-productive time by 80%.

 • Launched a company-wide training program in VR. Developed a prototype, got funding, and scaled deployment to 40 VR classrooms worldwide. Currently training hundreds of external and internal students per year.  

• Initiated and scaled adoption of AR glasses by ops teams in 7 countries leading to +50% efficiency for major use-cases. 

• Built a tech community with 1000+ active members. Organized international in-person and virtual tech conferences. 

• Organized a pipeline of media content creation, including blog posts, promo videos, and interviews with the tech leaders.

 • Acted as a liaison for the tech industry, sourcing and signing partnership deals, evaluating investments, and attracting talent.

Joanna Popper is an award-winning Hollywood and Silicon Valley media executive with a track record of launching cutting-edge content and technology to drive revenue, audience engagement, and brand love. She currently leads HP’s Virtual Reality initiatives for Go-To-Market and Location Based Entertainment. Prior she was EVP of Media & Marketing at Singularity University and VP of Marketing at NBCUniversal. Joanna was selected as “50 Women Can Change the World in Media and Entertainment,” “Top 50 Original Thinkers in VR,” “Top Women in Media: Game Changers,” “Top Women in Media: Industry Leaders,” “Digital It List,” “101 Women Leading the VR Industry” and is on the Coalition for the Women in XR Fund.

Cecile Tezenas Du Montcel is a Virtual Reality Lead for EMEA HP Inc. - PhD In Material Science, joined HP 21 years ago in Concept R&D labs developing "concept PCs" and future technology, spend 8 years as product marketing manager on several portfolio. Passionate for innovation and technology.

Andreea is a licensed architect, software developer, CEO & co-founder of NUMENA – an award-winning company. Andreea was formally trained as an architect at MIT and Yale where she was awarded the AIA Gold Medal for the best graduating master student by the American Institute of Architects. Prior to NUMENA, she gained design and project management experience in architecture practices such as Kohn Pederson Fox and Robert A.M. Stern in New York. She is the recipient of numerous fellowships and a frequent guest speaker at international events in the XR space.
