Dr. Roch Gaussoin, professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, joined me to discuss cultivation of golf course turf, sand topdressing, soil organic matter testing, and the topic of soil organic matter/material management in general.

Total organic material testing (OM246) can be used to calibrate the amount of sand and cultivation required to produce high performance putting surfaces. Chris Tritabaugh and I discussed the most recent results from tests conducted at Hazeltine National Golf Club.
