Sensors & Wearables with Dr. Christy Lane
On this week’s show we talk with Dr. Christy Lane a professor and Chair of the Department of Health and Physical Education at Mount Royal University and a founding member of the Stanford Wearable Health Lab. A key to the future of clinical research is the collection of data outside of medical facilities using sensors and wearables. Before devices from heart rate monitors to sleep monitors can be fully leveraged they need to be validated for clinically meaningful outcomes. Our guest today is working to drive the adoption of sensors and wearables across the healthcare spectrum through academic research and entrepreneurial efforts to drive data driven adoption.

Customer Reviews
Insightful for a wide audience
Enjoyable and easy to listen to while providing valuable insights. You don’t need to be a Clinical Research professional to get something out of these podcasts, yet extremely valuable if you are. I really appreciate that it’s not a lecture - truly conversational.
Real Advice from Experts in Clinical Research
I recommend this podcast for anybody involved in clinical research. I enjoy hearing about the latest trends and technologies from people actually delivering these solutions and that are long time experts.
Important topics, excellent timing
The clinical trials landscape is changing rapidly and it’s critical to stay up to date with the topography. I’m also extremely happy with the length of these episodes. I like to multitask and the format, topics, and pacing make it easy for me to feel like gaining valuable insight without losing something else in trade. Well done!!
