    Hi, welcome to “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. My name is Anthony Sosa and thank you for joining us. On this episode we have Vic Toruno, AKA King Booty Disco, AKA Mr. T. Vic is a really awesome guy and I’m really glad that we got to have this conversation. Vic is the talented frontman and keyboardist of King Booty Disco and Suite Sensations. In this conversation we get really deep into quite a wide array of topics such as Vic’s influences and creative process, the joys of different genres of music- including disco, the interpersonal aspects of being in a band as well as how language and culture impacts the artform, and what it is like to teach music to young people. We really had a lot of fun in this conversation and I am really excited to share it with you.

    Hi, welcome to “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. My name is Anthony Sosa and thank you for joining us. On this episode we have David Sowden. David is a talented local film-maker, screen-writer and playwright. I have known David, and his parents Colleen and Topper and his sister Kim, have since I can remember. Over the past 20 years David has been involved in many productions including the films “Variations on a High School Romance” “Room 206 and the Evenings After” and the play “SMS.” In addition to completing a bachelors in Radio, Television and Film from UNT, he’s also attended a decade of SXSW film festivals. We discuss that experience as well as his creative influences and inspirations while going on a few juicy tangents. We had a fun and lively conversation covering a wide-range of topics and I hope you enjoy it.

    Hi, welcome to “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. My name is Anthony Sosa and thank you for joining us. On this episode we have my long-time friend, comrade, compatriot, collaborator and often times mentor, Erik Stolpe. Erik and I met in 2003 before I joined his band Silverlode and before we founded The Raven Charter in 2005. Erik is an amazing musician who is very thoughtful about his creative process and how music has impacted his life. We discuss Erik’s musical upbringing and influences as well as our time together in The Raven Charter. We get into his sobriety and how that has impacted his life and his art. And we talk about his current musical endeavors including his LFR solo project Brain in a Jar. I really enjoyed this conversation and I hope you do too.
