    ________________________________________________________________________________________________
Mentioned in the episode 30, men think they want less arguing and more sex (intimacy) but this episode takes this topic multiple layers deep to understand one another so you can reignite the passions and desires in your relationship with your spouse...

Here's a break down of the episode:

Relationship growth through uncomfortable conversations @ 20:26
Glenn emphasized that developing the ability to have uncomfortable conversations is key to understanding a partner and strengthening intimacy. While men often avoid such talks, embracing vulnerability can help overcome disconnect and deepen bonds.

    Safety and vulnerability in female
Julie explained how crucial safety feels for women in intimate situations due to social factors and past experiences. Developing self-trust through solo practice can help, yet partnered intimacy requires presence, consent and care from both to establish comfort.

Emotional availability and presence in intimacy @ 54:01
Julie highlighted the mental and emotional elements of female arousal. Quality intimacy demands presence on multiple levels, yet distraction or disconnection hinders fulfillment for all. Conscious check-ins can reestablish closeness when lapses occur.

    Addressing intimacy issues through self-work @ 59:00
Julie advised that while medication may affect libido, underlying relationship issues usually require individual reflection and growth too. Radical responsibility involves better understanding oneself and one's role in patterns to empower positive change.

Mental health medications and intimacy @ 1:18:15
While medications could impact intimacy, open communication and prioritizing connection through alternative means allows fulfilling partnership despite challenges. Focusing on emotional rather than only physical intimacy aids working through such difficulties together.

    Duty versus authentic intimacy
Glenn and Julie agreed duty has no place in a healthy relationship. Consent, presence and mutual fulfillment distinguish genuine closeness from obligation. Prioritizing quality time regularly helps prevent intimacy issues arising from disconnect.

Relationship growth and disconnection over time @ 1:29:50
Julie warned stagnation risks over familiarity, responsibility and life transitions. Continually learning about oneself and one's partner through shared experiences and play keeps relationships fresh and thriving as individuals naturally evolve.

    Expanding intimacy beyond
Glenn resolved to reframe intimacy more broadly. Quality time doing anything together intentionally builds closeness if infused with presence, playfulness and care for

Episode 29 - What Are Your Marriage Anchors - A Follow Up To Episode 28

Episode 29 - What Are Your Marriage Anchors - A Follow Up To Episode 28

In this episode Glenn goes over some of the most important wisdom nuggets from the previous episode where he had Diego and his wife Alene on the podcast.

Remember to reach out and get help when your marriage isn't going the way you want. Sometimes it's going to take some effort and failures to get where your gut and spirit feels confident. Your community is essential to making progress so remember to level up your support.

If you have the desire to improve your marriage and you are willing then you're on the right track. Alene wisely shares how a challenging marriage is likely going to get more challenging before it gets better. This can help you accept the discomfort and painful moments as you hang onto the hope of something better.

What can you unify on in your marriage?

Why did you choose to marry this person in the first place? What did you admire about them?

What have you always struggled with in your marriage. Alene and Diego both mentioned how finances have never been a strong point in their marriage and once they unified on their family budgets they discovered they were still struggling.

They both felt inspired to put God at the center of their life, marriage and family. They were able to reconnect and unify despite the past and present challenges.

We hope this example gives you hope and challenges you to do your work. If we can help you or your spouse in your work please go to glennlovelace.com for more details and to get scheduled to talk.

See you on the next episode.

Episode 28 Diego & Alene - Choosing To Stay Married

Episode 28 Diego & Alene - Choosing To Stay Married

In this episode please welcome Diego and Alene on the show AND Glenn's wife Amber.

We're going to dive into how one spouse doing their work can help strengthen the marriage.

We're also going to talk about the power of a marriage when BOTH spouses are doing their work and unifying as both grow individually.

It's no secret that marriage and life has never been more challenging but also it has never been this beautiful. Opposition has a way of working this way.

Listen closely for how Diego and Alene were able to refocus on their marriage by focusing on the kids and finances. This helped them get back on "the same team" again and the connection and attraction was able to regrow.

If you have questions about this episode please contact Glenn by emailing support@glennlovelace.com and he would love to offer more clarity and perhaps have this couple back on the show to go deeper into their story.

Episode 27 - Is Divorce Always An Option? - An Intro To Episode 28

Episode 27 - Is Divorce Always An Option? - An Intro To Episode 28

Way back in January Glenn recorded a podcast episode with a former client, his wife, and with Amber. This podcast introduces a disruptive idea that divorce should always be an option as an empowering question or idea to help YOU decide.

The power of your choice can be strengthened when you consider options that you're unwilling to think about.

This works with other important questions too...like job change, moving, and other important life choices.

Imagine using disruptive questions to break out of your hypnotic patterns. Does this make room for inspiration, creativity and even God to inspire additional options?

    Something to think about, right?

Enjoy the episode. Please share it with someone who is struggling in their marriage or in life.

Reach out to Glenn anytime by going to instagram or to his website, glennlovelace.com

    Enjoy.
