In this special live episode, Thai filmmaker Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke (winner of GSFF21's Bill Douglas Award with his thirty-minute stand-out Red Aninsri; or, Tiptoeing on the Still Trembling Berlin Wall, an inventive and playful "queer espionage film made in the tradition of Cold-War-era Thai dubbed film") has an in-person conversation with Ren Scateni (Head of Programme at Encounters Film Festival), discussing his filmmaking and approach to Thai history and the legacy of colonialism.

In this episode you will hear from some of Glasgow Short Film Festival's team. We discuss parts of the programme and what we’re looking forward to, starting with a chat between our Films Assistant Grace Feinmann and Guest Coordinator Heather Bradshaw. They chat about our Scottish and Bill Douglas Award competitions, as well as the Young Scottish Filmmaker Prize. Afterwards, you’ll hear from our Festival Director Matt Lloyd and Marketing Assistant Fibi Cowley. Marketing Manager Katie Goh and Sanne Jehoul will be closing the episode with a discussion on their own strands.

In this episode you will hear from Spanish filmmaker Diana Toucedo, who directed the 45-minute experimental and part-animated documentary Camille & Ulysse, in which philosophers and writers Donna Haraway and Vinciane Despret read from their own fabulations. Camille & Ulysse tell the interwoven stories of the first generation of their communities of humans and non-humans: the communities of compost. This conversation is hosted by Ane Lopez from A+E Collective, who curated the Eco-spectrality strand at GSFF this year.
