The Self-Conchas Podcast is a Latina hosted podcast that talks about everything and anything. The name itself is a play on words “self-conscious” as in life there are so many things that make us feel “self-conchas”. The podcast talks about several topics including some that may be uncomfortable to discuss in everyday conversations. The overall feeling of the podcast is meant to be as if one is talking to their friend while enjoying some conchas and cafe or chocolate de abuelita. Real and awesome
I love how open and honest this show is. Life can be hard, but when we can speak openly about challenges it makes it a little bit easier for others when they go through them. This show is super easy to listen to and done well. Great job ladies!
My thoughts on the Toxic Friendship Episode
I’m going to be honest. I knew one of the podcasters (I won’t say her name but it starts with an S) when I was younger, and she was extremely mean and toxic. And she seemed jealous and was even a bully! Even though I was nice to her! So I find it very interesting how she did a podcast on toxic friendships.🤔Although, that was many years ago, I never got an apology or any remorse from her. I chose to forgive her for my own sake since I don’t like to hold onto anger and grudges, because it’s unproductive and a waste of time.
However, I just found out she has a podcast. So I listened because I do love podcasts. And I do like the content of this podcast, and I’m a new subscriber! Which is why I gave it five stars!🎉But FYI: please be kind to people. Especially, when they’re kind to you. Plus, you never know who you’ve hurt in the past. But I do hope that she has improved as a person since it has been years. But I do hope she’s well!😊Also, I’m so sorry to hear about her brother. Her brother is in my prayers.
No Sugarcoating
Woman in her mid twenties with A LOT of life experience, even at a young age! Stephany is very casual about real life incidents, and issues. There is no sugarcoating from her. Very raw and real. She also has a good podcasting voice, which is sometimes overlooked.
