Bring on the milk & cookies...because Santa has arrived!  Brad Hyland, who is not only the voice of Santa for the Elf on the Shelf series, he is also a coach, mentor, voice actor, husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He says he didn't really start living until 2016, which is when he returned to voice over, a career that Brad says was 40 years in the making! Before voice over came back into his life, he enjoyed being involved with stand up comedy, extra work for on-camera projects,  was a frontman for a rock & blues band & had a long career in the sales & corporate world.  As a voice actor Brad has had the pleasure to work on many amazing projects, like Elf on the Shelf, but also is the voice of Charlie the Tuna for Starkist, has narrated films for National Parks, multiple characters on video games, and currently can be heard on the Titanic Experience tour.
We chat about trusting yourself, how to be natural in your reads, being trained, having confidence, get good at auditioning, using an audition tracker...Plus all the usually creative chaos, like what is the strangest thing any of us bought online &  what are a few things Brad collects ???

Brent is a Japanese American Voice Actor who grew up in Hawaii with a decade of experience in film and theater acting, improv comedy, and stand up comedy! 

He is LA based and works primarily in video games, anime, animation, and commercials! And with over a decade of comedy experience (Acting, Improv, Stand Up, you get the idea). 
In the world of video games you might recognize him from Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Genshin Impact, Lost Judgement or Fire Emblem Three Hopes. In Anime he voices Scratchmen Apoo in One Piece, Drake's Dream in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Gyokko in Demon Slayer. In addition, he won the Society of Voice Arts Award for Outstanding Anime Character – Best Male Voiceover for his role as Ginji in the Funimation anime Full Dive. And be sure to check out the Nickelodeon series: The Casagrandes where he plays the bandit Woo!

And as if all that wasn't enough, he is a regular remote instructor at the fabulous Voice Actor's Studio in Las Vegas.

The whole gang finally dive into and share about their individual P2P choices since launching and building their voice over & on-camera careers.  They discuss P2P platforms  they're still going strong on since launching.  Which ones they decided to let go of for different reasons.  Then other P2P platforms they added into the mix to create more auditions to discover.  Also  they touch on adding Agents and Production rosters to help boost their access to auditions and increase their chances to book.

This is a From the Vault episode from before our Pod merger! Here we touch on different choices about our booths as we were all closer to the beginning of launching and getting our individual VO careers off the ground.  This is definitely a throwback episode, short and sweet, about us chatting and sharing, our booth goals and a tiny bit of internet chaos…
