Molly has always had trouble facing the harsh realities of life, so when her partner of seven years, Jake, suddenly walks out on her, Molly’s subconscious gives her a unique coping tool in the guise of a larger than life imaginary version of Jake who won't leave her alone. With the help of her best friends Delilah and Zack - both with problems of their own - Molly has to face the hard fact that she has been dumped and find a way to to regain her sense of self if she has any hope of getting rid of her imaginary boyfriend... In the sports movie episode, punchy Molly McGuire releases her anger and winds up in the lockup. Zack and the Counter Clerk team up to get Molly a little emotional closure, and Delilah has a truly horrifying trip to the hairdresser.

In the smoky cabaret of Molly’s imagination, all the characters are thrown into the spotlight in our musical episode. Molly finds out Zack’s horrifying secret, Zack comes to terms with his feelings and Delilah has to admit who she really is to Sam.

Still tormented by the imaginary version other ex, Molly refuses to believe Real Jake isn’t coming back until she receives an eviction notice instead of an anniversary present, Delilah refuses to believe she has to go to a big family wedding and Zach can’t fathom how his life had been reduced to a showdown with a cheerfully sadistic Employment Now Counter Clerk.

Sweetly sincere audio drama
Molly's like Walter Mitty in that her imagination recasts her situations as various movie genres (sports movie, courtroom movie) and also she made up an imaginary version of her ex who is much nicer than the real one. It makes for an evocative and sweetly sincere dramedy about gaining self esteem and getting back on one's feet.
