Some climb the ladder to earlier selection slot and others well they fall like rocks into the abyss. Our guest is none other than a man who makes a living doing draft previews and analysis, Matt Miller of ESPN. He will give you some tidbits and thought provoking insight that will make any draft enthusiast ready for April 25th.

Matt Miller introduction
NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller joined ESPN in 2021 as an NFL Draft contributor before returning as a year-round Draft analyst in 2022. In April 2023, Miller made his on-air NFL Draft debut during day three of the 2023 NFL Draft in Kansas City when he joined ESPN’s broadcast for rounds 4-7.  With over a decade of experience covering the NFL Draft, Miller appears across ESPN platforms on NFL Live, SportsCenter, Get Up!, NFL Draft and Mock Draft specials, ESPN+ exclusive programs – including numerous mock drafts and scouting reports, ESPN Radio and more.  Before joining ESPN, Miller was Bleacher Report’s lead NFL Draft writer from 2010-2021 where he contributed mock drafts, scouting reports, in-depth stories and he became the most-read author in the history of the website. Prior to Bleacher Report, Miller worked as Director of Scouting for New Era Scouting from 2006-10 and a coach and recruiting coordinator for the CFL’s Joplin Crusaders (2006-08).

(Rashene) Who do you feel is overrated in this draft?
(Neubeiser) How much does questionable character actually come into early for early round draft picks?
(Chops) Quarterback is always the premium position;rank the top five for us.
( T-Sizz or Maradei) Do you have any sleepers that aren’t getting much attention but you think will be impact guys as rookies? IE. Puka Nacua

Monologue:
Welcome everyone to our first show of season 5 of the OSP. When I started doing this in March 2020 I never thought for a second I would still be going in 2024 but here I am. There have been revisions, changes and gaps along the way but I feel like I’ve finally settled into a good place with it. Thank you to my Barbershop Crew: Rashene, Terry, Neub, Mikey, Schmitty and Kwatt for being an active part in so many shows along with other support. I want to recognize Let’Talk Sports Network, Sideline Sports Network, Manning Media and our newest network that we’ve been picked up by Elite Sports and Entertainment Network and we are a part of the South Florida Tribune conglomerate of shows through affiliation. Our show is anywhere you listen to podcasts, on all of the aforementioned networks, YouTube channels and you can now find us on Roku TV every Tuesday night from 9-10pm. They also inked German Domingo who has spousal abuse charges. What are your feelings on giving a guy like this another opportunity?

I want to kick this thing off by talking about the fight at the WOmen’s Sec Championship game between South Carolina and LSU.  6-8 center Kamilla Cardoso came to the rescue of her teammate Ashley Watkinswho  was shoved in anger  by Flau’jae Johnson on her way to the bench. 
The mele lead to 6 ejections and Johnson’s brother jumping on to the floor. Does this behavior help or hurt the ladies game?
 
Caitlin Clark continues to be in the spotlight by hitting a game winning 3 for the Big Ten title over Nebraska. What more does she need to do to be looked at as maybe the best female basketball player in the NCAA? She's forgoing her senior year to play in the WNBA. 
 
Thoughts on the Utah State ladies coach Kayla Ard getting fired immediately following their loss by the athletic director and sharing it at her post game presser. 
 
The USWNT defeated Brazil(for the fourth straight time in a tournament final) in the inaugural Gold Cup held in San Diego on Sunday with the lone goal scored by Lindsey Horan. Now that some of the women who were more about political statements as opposed to soccer are gone, will this win spark the interest again in women’s soccer in the U.S. and if not what is it going to take. Alex Morgan seems to be the new face to associate with the sport.
