Customer Reviews
My favorite podcast!
Hosts and best buds Sinead and Nick swill cocktails and tell tales of poisonings and other murder most foul. The duo take turns recounting historical cases ranging from the well-known to the pretty darned obscure. This format works very well; neither knows in advance what the other is presenting so their reactions always come off as fresh and genuine, never slick. Each story is accompanied by a cocktail mixed up by Nick that (however loosely) fits the theme of that week's show.
The regular weekly show is always free but they also have a Patreon membership that gets you tons of extra episodes and the delightful "PC Morris" monthly episode in which they scour the news for absurdities to share. The material is fascinating and their affectionate snark never fails to make me smile. Absolutely worth your time!
Great humor and a good time!
The hosts are wonderfully talented in drawing the listener into the story and bring some appropriate humor and light to very dark stories. As a heavy true-crime podcast consumer, I have to say this one is my absolute favorite! I actively await the release of each new episode, whereas other shows I tend to just binge on for a few hours before abandoning them. Give it a listen and prepare to be soothed by the lovely accents of the hosts and enthralled by the way they flesh the story out.
My Besties
Nick & Sinead are my best friends and some day I will have the chance to tell them in person. Their humo(u)r is on point, storytelling is impeccable, and the drink recipes keep me in bad behavio(u)r. The only drawback is that not much is known about their childhood.
