On this episode, we are joined by NYPA member Les Fincher. Les discussed everything from the COVID-19 crisis, and how it has affected the industry, as well as how the industry will rebound. He also talked about his long career working in film & television in New York, and the importance of the New York Film Tax Credit.

Mike Fantasia, President of the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI), joined the podcast to discuss the newly minted partnership between NYPA and the LMGI. He also discussed his long career, including getting his start on happen-chance encounter with Steven Spielberg in Montana while working as Park Ranger. Mike also gets into his involvement with Teamsters Local 399 and how he sees the industry recovering from COVID-19.

The organization is dedicated to helping freelancers in the film & television industry by providing groceries during this COVID-19 crisis. Isabella also highlights the newly cemented partnership between NYPA and Feed the Freelancers, which includes a goal of raising $4,000 for a round of groceries. Producer Peter Saraf joined the Beyond the Set NY Podcast to discuss his long career working in television, including with iconic actors such as Tom Hanks and Steve Carell. Peter also shared his memories of a New York before the tax credit came into existence, and what he sees coming next for the industry post Covid-19.

On the latest episode, New York Production Alliance Vice President Michael Jackman joins us to discuss his career working in Film & TV in New York, his reaction to the response of the industry to the COVID-19 crisis and how he sees it recovering.
