The Presence of Presents + a Heartfelt Gift Guide

The Presence of Presents + a Heartfelt Gift Guide

It's our time of year — the end of it! We really mean the time when what we strive for in our lives is truly celebrated:  grace, ease & joy. In planning this month's premiere, we reflected on last year's episode "The Presents of Presence," where we focused less on presents and a lot more about presence, because being present is in short supply at this busy time of year. Gennifer and Noreen share a meaningful conversation where we revisit the gifts that we had received that touched us deeply and raised our spirits. Our most cherished items ranged from "found items" given to us by a surprise someone to an incredibly thoughtful invitation for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We reflect on the flow of generosity and gratitude and how difficult it can be, for women especially, to receive, resulting in blocking — even hoarding — that magical exchange of giving and receivingThen you're invited! We reveal items that have brought us either grace, ease or joy and are providing you with links on our site so you can purchase them for yourself, a friend, family member or maybe even a stranger.  Our authentically curated list of gift ideas is from both of our hearts as is our deepest blessing that your December is warm and bright.

    Family Gathering Cheer

    Family Gathering Cheer

Imagine if your family could talk about conflict in a way where everyone involved felt heard, cared for and supported; with each of you joined by your own therapist, who brings compassion and respect for everyone involved.
Gennifer and Noreen talk to Tanya Cole-Lesnick, LCSW-R, an expert in navigating family dynamics, about The Nest — an incredibly supportive and nurturing opportunity innovated at The Lighthouse Retreat & Wellness Center located in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.  We chat about The Nest as an integrated family therapy experience that offers an alternative to more traditional programs. Some of their tools include:
⭐  💚 ⭐   In-the-moment live journaling: where clients can capture situations as they are being felt (vs a week later after processing it). This allows the individual sessions to focus on the deeper work so time isn’t wasted on catching up.
⭐  💚  ⭐  Being a Professional Witness:* where the therapists bring their professional training and relationship with their client to the group meeting and at the same time hold space for this experience on behalf of the client and the therapeutic relationship. *name coined by Noreen in an aha moment
⭐  💚  ⭐  Loving support: from the therapists, not just for their clients, but for all individual family members involved, making this a very inclusive, collaborative experience to help a family heal and move forward together.
We hope this conversation inspires your curiosity and wonderabout new ways for you and those you love to thrive.

The Magic of the Beatles, with guest Ken Dashow

The Magic of the Beatles, with guest Ken Dashow

Noreen and Gennifer speak with Ken Dashow, one of New York’s most loved DJs and a foremost authority on the Beatles. We talk about the serendipity of Beatles coming together and how their journey changed the world with their music.
We also take a look at some of the most unanswerable questions ever! How, after over 50 years, are The Beatles STILL the number one selling artists in the world? And what was the magic that brought them together?
How the four members of the Beatles came together against the odds
Their choice to take a risk and disrupt their mop-top success to produce new music that authentically reflected their own spiritual growth
Fun stories and observations from other classic rock legends about the Beatles
John Lennon’s messages then and how they are still relevant right now
We hope this beautiful conversation reconnects you with the lyrics, the melodies, and reminds you that “All You Need is Love.”
Ken is the afternoon host of Q104.3, a classic rock radio station, and the host of Breakfast with the Beatles, which airs every Sunday on iHeartRadio.

The world needs this show

A show about the magic in our everyday lives? Yes, please! I LOVED the episode about The Beatles and how their incredible music was just as magical in 1964 as it is in 2020. Noreen & Gennifer ask insightful, meaningful questions with their guests. I'm a convert to this show. What a beautiful, positive concept for a podcast. I'm definitely subscribing!
