Let’s Get Civical is part civics class and part comedy show. Join Lizzie Stewart and Arden Walentowski as they unpack and repack those political and government structures that have driven us to the cry for help we’re in today. This stuff is confusing and we’ve made it our mission to break it down so we all understand what the FDR is going on. It’s like being in American Government class with your BFFs! But no exams. We promise! Lizzie is an NYC based comedian who performs regularly all over the city and headlines all of her family functions as the "one from New York". Arden is a politics and civics buff who’s worked on local, state, and national campaigns.

Perfect Podcast for These Times
After finding this podcast I felt compelled to write this review because it’s a true gem. In recent years I have felt a greater duty as a citizen to be informed on the functions of government, courts, legislature, and how these systems came to be. There are obviously lots of books on civics, American History, government, etc but I’ve found them to be long winded, and convoluted and I usually need another book just to understand what I’ve read. This is where Lizzie and Arden come in. They present their topics with such a clear focus and their magnetic personalities make the episodes not only extremely digestible but a true joy. I owe them a sincere thank you for approaching their subjects with heart, integrity, compassion, and lots of humor. As someone who learns best while being entertained this podcast has been such a gift. Do yourself a favor and listen to every episode!

Hosts Lizzie and Arden create a perfect blend of cold hard facts with light banter and riffs that remind you to stay in the present and not get mired down with the technicalities and herstory of America. Each episode is like a flashback to that government AP class with your best friend. You will undoubtedly learn something, especially if you're a life-long citizen.
