Must listen for the modern baseball fan
Not since the days of Jon Miller and Joe Morgan on Sunday Night Baseball have two men waxed so poetically about America’s pastime. With Mike McMaster reprising Jon Miller as the insightful and sometimes insidious ringmaster and Harry Raymond as the charming changeup with a raw emotional edge, the two combine to form a seamless platoon for discussion of all things Yankees. No topic is off limits and side trips down memory lane and the craft beer aisle are always just a few minutes away. Don’t miss what is sure to be the Podcast of the Year!
Listen to People Who Disagree With You
In these fractured times, it’s more important than ever to consider the opinions of those from the other side of a cultural divide.
If you’re like me and this moral imperative means you patiently ponder the fundamentally flawed ideas of Yankees fans, Harry and Mike can ease the burden of this social responsibility.
Seriously, this podcast is the best representation of a summer-day-in-the-bleachers conversation that you’d have when you have time to kill at a baseball game. (Like say you’re waiting for a Yankee batter to actually step into the box, for example.)
If you like baseball, you’ll like these animals.
DJ LeMahieu pod Cast
Best show yet, especially second half on WAR economics of off year signing of veteran talent vs. Machado and lack of competitiveness vs. Red Sox front office. Were George still alive Hal and Hank might be out of the family.
One minor gripe- what’s with the Dad jokes and old men yelling at clouds stuff. Be careful - who else has the time to listen this long. I think I speak for Jerry from Cooperstown as well as myself
