NEW PODCAST: Introducing The Redemption of Jar Jar Binks

NEW PODCAST: Introducing The Redemption of Jar Jar Binks

Jar Jar Binks became one of the most polarizing figures in cinematic history when he made his debut in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace in 1999. He was even named “the most annoying movie character of all time” by Complex Magazine. After the release, Ahmed Best, the man who played Jar Jar, was hit with the full force of the backlash — and it nearly destroyed him. The Redemption of Jar Jar Binks is a six-part journey through the early internet to understand how one of the first-ever online hate campaigns began, and to right what we got so wrong about Jar Jar the first time around. Coming June 28 from the TED Audio Collective. Subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.

How to Be a Better Human

How to Be a Better Human

This is... NOT an episode of Conversations with People Who Hate Me. We're taking a week off, so instead we're sharing an episode of another podcast from the TED Audio Collective called How to Be a Better Human. It's a show hosted by comedian (and good friend of Dylan's) Chris Duffy, about how we can all learn to be a little less terrible. Dylan was interviewed by Chris last year and shares what he’s learned about apologies, forgiveness, and the benefits of taking the time to explore and establish our personal boundaries. If you want to hear more episodes, you can find and follow How to Be a Better Human wherever you're listening to this. And great news—they're hard at work on a new season and will be back weekly in June.

P.S.III ,

A perfect podcast to hate!

I hate you so f$&@ing much!

I hate that you brightened my awful day.

I hate that you had kind respectful meaningful conversations with people who hold different opinions and beliefs.

I hate that you are shining a spotlight on the fact that people are people and deserve to be treated with respect. (Even self identifying Trolls. 😁)

And I really really hate that you are a beautifully warm and kind person who wants the world to be a safer, kinder place for everyone, but especially those of us who exist “in the margins”.

Sorry, that was sarcastic.

Truly though, thank you for your bravery and kindness!

I look forward to “hating” you and ALL of your work for a long time to come.

Keep it up!

Don’t take this badly

I would like to have an episode on the Israel situation. I am a 13 year old boy who lives in Israel and I want to know your views on the Israel situation. Without any dumb leftist or rightist garbage mixed in. No politics please. Also I admire you for being a great man who deals with his relationships with people in a way that is healthy for the human mind. This is the part that you will call me for. LGBTQ should never have existed. It is unnatural and from a purely scientific standpoint, it should not be encouraged to young children who can be easily imprinted upon. I encourage you to look into Disneys situation with enforcing leftist “ woke “ policies. And leftists “ converting “ children to transgender people. Those are horrible stuff and the “ spectrum “ is unnatural. Remember, don’t take this badly

I love this guy! So positive!

After listening to so many negative political podcasts, I love this guy’s positivity. He’s working to make the world a better place, which I love.
