Rosenrot

Rosenrot

By their fifth album, Rammstein had shed the Eurodisco influence of Herzeleid and Sehnsucht for a more traditionally rock-oriented sound. Featuring several songs started during the sessions for Reise, Reise, Rosenrot is one of the more straight-forward entries in the band’s catalog, touching on the raw churn of early metal (“Benzin”) and even thrash (“Zerstören”). Still, the band makes room to experiment, as on the dreamy “Stirb nicht vor mir (Don’t Die Before I Do).” As for “Te Quiero Puta!,” did you ever think you’d hear an industrial-metal band backed by mariachi horns?
