*Brilliant...it’s fantastic.
*...have read it several times and it’s been a tremendous help to my animation career.
*It’s made me think hard about my animation before I lay eyes on my computer.
*...I wish I had it when I was in school.
*...your spine connection via the flat twisted plane made my day...that is awesome.

Good information, confusing layout
I'm liking the information in this book thus far (I'm on around page 30), but I will have to admit that it is quite unclear at times.
For instance there will be numbers next to drawings (ie 1,2,3,4) that correspond to provided text. Unfortunately, sometimes the drawings will all be numbered, and only 1 of them will have corresponding information. Or worse yet, it's impossible to tell for which illustration the number is intended. So your left trying to guess which illustration the text is referring to. This is less than ideal, and I feel like I'm missing crucial information.
I'll keep working my way through and readdress this review, but as of now I am a bit disappointed
One of my favorite/most used animation books done right using iBooks
Every animator should have this book. If you are a 3D character animator and like me, not very confident with drawing, then you will really benefit from the simplified techniques taught in this book. Planning out a shot is essential, this book will really help you get past worrying about the drawings and instead let you more confidently plan and capture what you need to have a clear plan of your shot.
I am really glad to see that they used iBooks Author to capture the look and feel of the physical book and have added new content and motion examples to bring the concepts to life even more.
