Episode 142: Nugget of Wisdom, Living Your Values.

Episode 142: Nugget of Wisdom, Living Your Values.

Welcome to another edition of "Nugget of Wisdom," a weekly email series I share on Fridays, designed to provide you with a moment of thoughtful reflection as you step into the weekend. In the spirit of perpetual learning, consider this: What purpose does today serve if we don't glean at least one valuable lesson from it?  I invite you to embrace the joy of discovering something new each day, as I believe it nourishes our minds and enriches our lives. Speaking of lessons, let's draw inspiration from the timeless tale of Joseph. I've included a brief, engaging 6-minute video story above for your viewing pleasure. Afterward, take a moment to reflect on the following: ⭐️ Aligning Actions with Values: Consider the significance of your values, such as loyalty. How actively do you manifest these values in your daily life? Reflect on instances where your commitment to these values is evident – be it in a single day, throughout the week, or even across the span of a month. ⭐️ Balancing Humility and Ambition: Delve into the concept of humility and its delicate dance with envisioning and pursuing your aspirations. How do you strike a balance between staying humble and reaching for what is possible? Reflect on the role of uncertainty in your journey – how does the unknown shape your perspective and actions? I encourage you to watch the video and ponder these questions, fostering a deeper understanding of your values and aspirations. Wishing you a weekend filled with discovery and enlightenment! Until next time, Enjoy your weekend.

And don't forget--Be Positive, Be Yourself, Be the Champion You Want to See!

Episode 139: What Else Can Go Wrong? 4 Tips to Sharpen Your Resilience

Episode 139: What Else Can Go Wrong? 4 Tips to Sharpen Your Resilience

Oh My! Did I have a bad day this week? I created this video above as a learning for me, and perhaps for you if you need a dose of resilience! What is resilience? The ability to recover from failures or setbacks quickly. Recover from a negative state of mind to a positive state. Recover from saboteur reaction to sage response. Why? well, would you want to stay in this “yukky place” a place where your hand is constantly on the "hot stove"? I really did not want to stay there, because I knew that staying there would impact my wellness (first and foremost), my relationships (with everyone around me), and ultimately my performance. So after a few sessions of PQ. after talking to treasured people and of course having a good night's sleep, I came up with four tips for resilience that I am using based on my research and expertise.  I offer it to you as it may be helpful in your personal life as well as at your workplace.

    Episode 136: Then and Now

    Episode 136: Then and Now

It has been already a hard long week! And I feel the obligation and the privilege to tell you about it.  To fill you in, just in case you don't know. Or maybe you know what's going on but wanted to hear about it from my perspective. When I left my education position of 16 years, I said I wanted the world to be my classroom and my stage. What I did not envision was that I would use this platform to not only speak about the human potential, to help and inspire others to overcome challenges and to look at their life as an ocean full of opportunities of growth, but I would also be sharing my broken heart in the process. So, you are seeing me today as I am. Totally vulnerable and somewhat emotional. I did have to pause the recording once as I felt that my words could not exit my mouth in a productive way.  I hope that you will see that while it is real and gloomy, it is also “a little bit” hopeful, in the smallest ways possible.

More later! Praying for better days, speedily in our time.

    Love to all, Dorice

A must have listen

Dorice’s ‘nuggets’ are thoughtful and inspiring. She leaves you with optimism and something to think about.

The interview with Barbara O’Hares is really well done. Barbara is knowledgeable, has a soft touch and teaches us what resources to read and watch to help us step outside our tribe, as she says, and does. She learns about all cultures and religions which I know I need to do more of. I was inspired by this episode. One of the best!

Inspirational teacher.

Dorice is truly an inspirational and spiritual teacher. Her deep knowledge of Hebrew and how she connects that to a greater understanding of God and our relationship with the world around us is something all can benefit from and thrive as a result of connecting with her as one goes on one’s own journey.
