Rosa Moline (Davis) squeezes her husband, Dr. Lewis Moline's (Joseph Cotten), patients to pay their bills so she can travel to Chicago to see Neil Latimer. When Rosa comes back, she doesn't have Neil, but she is carrying his child. Now, pregnant and more desperate than ever, Rosa is willing and able to commit murder to get the man and the money she wants.
