Green Buzzard

About Green Buzzard

An Aussie indie pop unit with a penchant for pairing big, Brit-pop hooks with Guided by Voices-esque garage punk, Sydney-based Green Buzzard's origins lie in the New South Wales city of Oberon. Citing artists like Pavement, Dinosaur Jr., and the aforementioned Robert Pollard-led GBV as influences, the band burst onto the scene in 2015 with the song "Zoo Fly," which drew praise both locally and from music taste-makers like NME, The Guardian, and Q Magazine. It also caught the attention of beloved Australian indie label I Oh You (Violent Soho, DMA's, DZ Deathrays), who quickly added the band to their roster and released their debut EP, Easy Queezy Squeezy, in 2016. ~ James Christopher Monger
