In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first time I was truly mesmerized by music was when I saw the music video for A-Ha's "Take On Me". I was only four years old, but everything from the melody to the visuals entranced me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Sea Power, The Decline of British Sea Power Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Hearts of Oak The Wrens, The Meadowlands All three of these records came out in 2003, which was the same year that I decided I could become a musician. They gave me the energy and confidence to create and inspired me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Child Emperor” This is a song that has undergone many revisions over the last several years, and I finally stumbled upon a version that I love. The lyrics are a tender tribute to a family member, and I think the melodies are some of my best. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was in a band called Ben Franklin, playing a festival in Newark NJ. The upstairs room was packed, and the energy was so high in the crowd that the crowd could literally feel the floor moving up and down under their feet. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to collaborate on an album with my daughter. She's only five but she comes up with some of the best melodies and funniest lyrics.
