Thor

Thor is a Norse god impersonator, former bodybuilder, wrestler, performance artist, actor, and power metal vocalist from Canada. He forged the Thor identity in the early '70s after winning the Mr. Junior Canada bodybuilding title as a teenager. His debut album, Keep the Dogs Away, arrived in 1977. His two mid-'80s outings, Only the Strong and Recruits: Wild in the Streets, are considered power metal classics. He focused on acting for a decade but returned in 1998 with Thunderstruck: Tales from the Equinox. Thor issued close to a dozen independent albums before composing and starring in 2010's Thor: The Rock Opera. Following the two-volume Thunderstryke in 2012, he signed to Deadline Music, which released his I Am Thor film and soundtrack project, and the 2018 studio album Hammer of Justice. In 2021, he returned with the star-studded Alliance, and released Ride of the Iron Horse for Cleopatra in 2024.
