About Sara Diamond

Canadian electro-pop singer Sara Diamond has spent most of her life as performer. The Montreal native was only five years old when she joined children's pop collective Kidzup, selling millions of records with the group before her first solo venture in 2008 at the age of 13. A year later, she was recruited by Interscope head Jimmy Iovine to join Canadian teen pop trio the Clique Girlz, though the group would disband later that year. In her late teens and feeling disillusioned by the music industry, Diamond spent several years quietly working on her craft, taking gigs on the side singing the National Anthem at Montreal Canadians hockey games. Reemerging in 2016 with a more mature electronic-oriented sound, she released the moody synth-pop single "Just Give In," bringing her to the attention of a whole new audience. After guesting on the single "Firestorm," by EDM duo Adventure Club, Diamond returned in 2017 with a pair singles, "Back to You" and "Unsure." ~ Timothy Monger
