About Reef

Emerging at the height of Brit-pop, Reef had little in common with their British peers; instead of sounding like an amalgam of the Beatles, the Jam, and Stone Roses, they were indebted to the Stones and the Black Crowes. But, through constant touring as well as being featured in a television commercial for a portable music player, they managed to cultivate a large fan base that expanded significantly with the release of their breakout album, 1997's Glow. Following their fourth album, 2000's Getaway, and a falling out with their label, Reef temporarily disbanded. They reunited for a brief tour in 2010 and occasional concert dates, including an opening slot for Coldplay in 2016, before their first studio album in nearly two decades, Revelation, appeared in 2018. It was followed by 2022's Shoot Me Your Ace, a more raucous, hard rock & roll album produced by Duran Duran's Andy Taylor.
