About Moira Dela Torre
Original Pilipino Music (OPM) singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre rose to fame on The Voice of the Philippines before emerging as one of her country’s biggest pop stars. • Dela Torre got her start in the music business singing commercial jingles. When she was 13, she started writing her own songs as a way of coping with anorexia and bullying. • In 2013, she competed on the premiere season of The Voice of the Philippines. Coached by Black Eyed Peas member apl.de.ap, she was eliminated in the battle round. • She notched her first hit in 2016 with “Malaya,” the theme song from the movie Camp Sawi. Her 2018 debut album, Malaya, has been certified eight-times platinum. • Her 2017 cover of the Filipino rock band Moonstar88’s “Torete” was the theme song for the romantic comedy Love You to the Stars and Back. • In 2019, Dela Torre married popular singer Jason Marvin Hernandez. They released the hit single “Ikaw at Ako” on their wedding day. That same year, she returned to competition television as a judge on Idol Philippines.
