Luka Bloom

About Luka Bloom

The younger sibling of Irish folk singer Christy Moore, Kevin Barry Moore relocated to the United States, adopted the stage name Luka Bloom, and began his career free from associations with his famous older brother. With his electro-acoustic guitar and powerful strumming, Bloom’s music is best characterized as folk-rock, and his intimate style of performing lends itself well to both his originals and stylized cover tunes. The latter are an intrinsic part of Bloom’s repertoire: he’s interpreted songs ranging from ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” to LL Cool J’s “I Need Love.” Bloom tours regularly and is well respected as a performer, writer, and interpreter.
