Hunee (Hun Choi) cultivates deep, sunny house grooves with a clear reverence for Chicago and Detroit house as well as disco, jazz, and dub. Choi grew up in Bochum, West Germany and moved to Berlin at age 19. After getting a job at a record store in the city, he established himself as a DJ before turning to production. He made his vinyl debut in 2009 with 12"s on labels such as Internasjonal and W.T. Records. Amsterdam-based dance label Rush Hour signed Hunee in 2010, releasing the Bobos Alone in Paradise EP that year, followed by "Tide"/"Minnoch" in 2012. After a brief stint in Los Angeles, Choi moved to Amsterdam. Rush Hour released his album Hunch Music in 2015. ~ Paul Simpson
