Indie duo Her’s was known for bright, jangling guitars and simple drum-machine beats, topped with Stephen Fitzpatrick’s resonant baritone vocals. • Fitzpatrick and bassist Auden Laading met while studying at the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts. They played together with Brad Stank in the band Sundogs before starting Her’s in 2015. • Her’s was initially a name that Fitzpatrick and Auden used as an inside joke to post comedic music videos they shot in different spots around Liverpool in the middle of the night. • The band released its first single, “Dorothy,” in 2016. The song would open the duo’s first album, 2017’s Songs of Her’s, which was a compilation of five singles and four new songs. • Her’s were touring in support of their 2018 album Invitation to Her’s when Fitzpatrick, Laading, and their tour manager were killed in a car crash in Arizona on March 27, 2019.
