Based in New York, COPILOT Music + Sound provides original music productions for outlets including video games, television, film, and the Internet. They first found fame in the gaming world with "Drunken Whaler," a promotional song for the 2012 game Dishonored that didn't appear in the game. Subsequent high-profile projects included 2014's Wolfenstein: The New Order and their 2018 cover of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" for the Fallout 76 trailer. Founded in New York in 2008, COPILOT founders Jason Menkes and Ravi Krishnaswami gathered an international team of composers, musicians, and other creatives to supply not only score music but related services like licensing, sound design, and music production. They helped promote the 2012 action-adventure game Dishonored with an industrial-styled version of the public domain song "Drunken Sailor" that featured children's voices (and some facsimiles thereof). The song was included in an orchestral medley of the year's music at the 2012 Video Game Awards, broadcast on Spike TV. Working again for Bethesda Softworks, they took inspiration from '60s pop for in-game music for 2014's Wolfenstein: The New Order, which imagined an alternate universe in which the Axis powers had won World War II. In 2016, their "Noka-World Theme Song" from Fallout 4 received a digital release. COPILOT's version of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" for the trailer to 2018's Fallout 76 was also released as a single by Bethesda. ~ Marcy Donelson
