About Chuckleberry

With his deep, raw, vocals set to an infectious reggae groove, Jamaican deejay Chuckleberry has used music to address a variety of controversial issues. His most outspoken tunes, including "No Gay Man", "Honesty Best Policy", "Cost Of Living", "Working Class Woman" and "God Come First", deal with homophobia, religious conviction and the struggles of the working class. Chuckleberry first attracted attention in the 1990s, when he recorded for a lengthy list of Jamaican producers. His breakthrough album, Cost Of Living, released in 1992, was produced by Leggo and Flabba Holt. ~ Craig Harris
