Brutal Truth

About Brutal Truth

Originally formed in 1990 as a side project for former Anthrax guitarist Dan Lilker, Brutal Truth quickly became a major force on the American grindcore scene. Brutal Truth’s manic sound mixes elements of death metal and grind with occasional outbursts of New York–style hardcore and outright noise. The band gained some notoriety for their Guinness Book of World Records title for shortest music video--for “Collateral Damage,” which lasts less than three seconds. Brutal Truth broke up in 1999, but reformed in 2006, touring and releasing its first new material in nearly 10 years.
