About Braulio

A Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter from Spain, Braulio (aka Braulio García) is known for navigating rousing orchestral balladry, romantic boleros, sleeker contemporary pop/rock, and combinations thereof. After representing Spain in Eurovision Song Contest 1976 with his ballad "Sobran las Palabras," his commercial peak commenced with 1986's Lo Bello y lo Prohibido, which topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart while garnering a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album. Hits like "En Bancarrota" launched a string of over 20 appearances on the Latin singles chart over the next decade, as he incorporated more boleros into his repertoire. After this major-label run came to an end in the mid-'90s, he focused even more on Latin music and boleros for independent releases like 2009's Boleros, con los Que Me Enamoré. Still recording into his seventies, Braulio delivered Sie7e Décadas in 2016 and the single "Nunca la Culpa Es de uno Sólo" in 2023.
