German rapper Bizzy Montana, born Daniel Constantin Maximilian Ott in Mühlheim Bei Freiburg, began creating beats in 1997, gathering experience as a producer and DJ and joining the rap crew Bizness Music. After participating in the production of Nemesis, the first sampler issued by Bushido's ersguterjunge label, Montana released his first record, Blackout, a collaboration with Chakuza, in October 2006. He contributed to two more label samplers before issuing a "street album," 2007's Mukke Aus der Unterschicht, which was followed by sequels in 2008 and 2009. Montana left Bushido's label in March 2011, and 2012 finally saw the release of his first full-fledged solo album, Gift, which was released on fellow rapper Vega's Freunde von Niemand label and entered the German charts at number 32. ~ Christian Genzel
