About Ada Ehi

Singer and songwriter Ada Ehi has helped shape the gospel sound in Africa with her soul-stirring voice and unique blend of contemporary genres. Born Ada Ogochukwu Ehi (nee Ndukauba) in Lagos State, Nigeria, in the late 1980s, Ehi grew up in a household where listening to gospel music was a permanent fixture of her family’s lifestyle. She got her start in the music industry at age 10 as a backing vocalist for ‘80s child singing sensation Tosin Jegede. Since, she has stepped into her own and is known for crafting some of Africa’s biggest gospel songs like 2017’s “I Overcame” and 2020’s “Fix My Eyes On You” featuring Sinach. In 2009, Ehi released her debut album, Undenied, showcasing her signature fusion of Afro-pop and electronic dance music. Subsequent faith-focused albums—2017’s Future Now and 2020’s Born of God—and inspirational songwriting have bolstered Ehi’s music internationally and expanded her name beyond Nigeria.
