SAP Fieldglass Time Entry 4+

Can’t even explain why it doesn’t work

I have had this app loaded for a few weeks now, and decided to use it today to enter time. Today is Wednesday. I entered Tuesday’s time without a problem (well actually I had trouble getting it to save, but once I told it not to save changes, then the time appeared correctly). I have to subtract out the hour for lunch, but when I tried to enter Monday’s lunch hour it wouldn’t save the time I put in. I tried over and over and the entries just disappeared. I cannot save it and go back later because the sheet will not save a day that reads over 8 hours.

What would be great is for the mobile app to be able to enter time daily, and save it, so at the end of the week all you have to do is double check it and verify. It’s hard enough getting the desktop app to cooperate; the mobile app is just useless as a time entry tool.

Buggiest app I’ve ever used

Putting it plainly, this app is a total pain to use. To make matters worse, my livelihood and income depend upon this app to enter my timesheets. I feel like I have to run around in circles trying to trick this app into letting me put in my hours. It crashes, doesn’t load, “unknown errors” all the time, I have to close and reopen constantly when trying to enter and submit my hours. This is an absolutely pitiful excuse for an app. I can’t believe someone is getting paid to create and maintain this because it is absolute garbage.

Pretty clunky

I’d say it “at least gets the job done” but it really doesn’t. The time entry is pretty annoying on this thing. Scrolling to get accurate hours/minutes has a weird, floaty/janky feel to it.

If you scroll too quickly, the time entry tool will zip past the hour or minute you were trying to pick. When it’s not doing that, the scrolling will decide to rubber-band back to a prior selection. It’s pretty unwieldy. Not the worst app I’ve used, but I do kind of sigh a bit when I remember it’s time to enter my time sheet.

I am not holding my breath for an update to fix this, because it’s still not updated to fill the entire screen of iPhone X and above. This thing is pretty ancient. You have to essentially trick the UI into doing its job.
